If a friend or family member has been arrested for immigration reasons and they have been given the option to get out on bail here’s what you need to know.  There are two types of immigration bail bonds.  The first is called a Voluntary Departure Bond.  This type of immigration bond means that the individual who was arrested chooses to leave the country voluntarily.  Usually the individual who was arrested is issued a date by the court in which they need to leave the country.  The second type of immigration bail bond is called a Delivery Bond.  This type of bond is usually available when the individual who was arrested has to appear in court in regards to their case.  A delivery bond insures that they will appear in court until their case is resolved.
