PAPERWORK YOU RECEIVE

You will receive about eight pages from us:

  • Cover Letter – The cover letter will provide you with simple instructions for filling out the paperwork, faxing back to us and our contact information.
  • Bail Application – We are required to collect basic information from you and the defendant about where you each live and work as well as contact information from two people who know the defendant well. This information is strictly used in the event the the defendant does not show up for a court appearance. We will not call employers, family or references unless we cannot contact you and the defendant. The courts require us to show that we can locate bailees if they do not show up for court.
  • Bail Bond Contract – The bail contract is a legal document which has been review and approved by the Delaware Department of Insurance. All Delaware bail bond companies use the same basic contract and the contract language has not changed in well over fifty years.
  • Straight Talk Contract – The Straight Talk Contract is provided for your reference. It very simply explains the same information as is in the “legalize” of the bail contract.
  • Receipt – The receipt will include the full bail fee and credits based on the amount you are paying. If you are making payment arrangements for bail, those will also be outlined on the receipt.
  • Credit Card Authorization – The credit card authorization is simply that: you authorizing us to charge your card. We will obtain an authorization from your credit card company. After our bond is accepted by the jail or court, we will charge your card. We will not charge you the bail premium unless we post the bond.
  • Identification and Credit Card Copies – We need a copy of your credit card and your indentification (driver’s license is the typical form). This is for you protection. We want to know who is presenting payment. Please note that all information submitted to our office is kept strictly confidential and only reviewed by the licensed, professional bondsman working directly with you. We need this information to verify authenticity of the payment information and the person who is signing on behalf of the credit card.
